Football isn't in most school programs. Parents don't know where to find a safe, well-run program. And athletes who would thrive miss their window.
THE SAFEST, MOST FUN ENTRY POINT INTO THE SPORT EXISTS RIGHT HERE.
NTS Flag Football is structured, coached, and designed to give every athlete the foundation they need — with zero contact and maximum fun.

NOT A DROP-IN HOUSE LEAGUE.
No Contact. Zero Compromise.
No blocking. No tackling. No contact. Players pull a flag, not the athlete. It's one of the safest organized sports available — and it still teaches real football.
A Development Program for Every Player
Our coaches don't just roll out the ball — they run a structured development plan for each athlete, building skills week by week so every player actually progresses. This isn't drop-in house league play.
A Sport of Its Own — Built to Last
Flag isn't a stepping stone on the way to somewhere else — it's a complete sport with its own skills, seasons, and progression. Athletes can play NTS flag from age 5 through 13, growing in the game for years without ever needing to leave it.
- Ages 5–13, from first-timers to experienced flag players
- You want a no-contact, safe introduction to the sport
- Your athlete needs confidence in a structured team environment
- You want a sport your athlete can stay in for years — flag is a complete program of its own
- You're looking for real coaching — not supervised recess
If your athlete is ready for contact or looking for a competitive tackle season, one of these is a better fit:

The Forward Pass program doesn't fund every club that applies. It validates organizations with the coaching standards, community impact, and development infrastructure to represent the future of football in Canada.
When your athlete registers in NTS Flag, they join a program validated by NFL Canada — not a pop-up rec league. The coaching standard is the same one that develops our provincial-level tackle athletes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes — most of our flag athletes are first-timers. Coaches build from the very first drill in a low-pressure, fun-first environment. No experience needed, no tryouts, no cuts.
It's one of the safest organized sports available. No blocking, no tackling, no contact between players. All NTS coaches are certified and safety-trained, and practices are structured — not free play.
That's exactly why flag exists — it's a low-commitment way to find out. If it's not a fit, you're not locked into anything, and many families start with one flag season to see how it goes.
Rec programs supervise. We coach. NTS runs a certified, structured curriculum with real development standards — your athlete learns actual fundamentals, not just plays games.
Official NTS jersey, flag belt and equipment, a full season of practices and games, certified coaching every session, an end-of-season athlete review, and TeamLinkt app access. Full pricing is confirmed when you register.

Plenty do — the skills transfer directly and the transition is seamless within NTS. But tackle is simply an option, never the point: flag is a complete sport of its own, and many athletes stay in our flag programs from age 5 through 13 without ever leaving it.
